Viewing Tips

Workshop presentations were originally created in PowerPoint. The PPT links below are to these PowerPoint files, which will probably (it depends on how your web browser is configured) have to be downloaded and then viewed with the PowerPoint Viewer. This is a nuisance, and to facilitate World Wide Web access the presentations are in the process of being converted to HTML format. Where an HTML version is available you will see links both the HTML veresion, which will load immediately in your browser, and to the PPT version, which you can download if you wish.

The HTML presentations are designed to be navigated using the left and right arrows in the upper left corner of each slide. Clicking on the right arrow moves to the next slide, clicking on the left arrow moves to the previous slide. The arrows above are only illustrative. Return to the syllabus and link to one of the HTML prsentations to demonstrate for yourself the use of the arrows.

If you have a normal resolution monitor you may have to use the vertical scrollbar to see the whole slide. To avoid this, temporarily turn off your browser's toolbars to obtain more vertical space. If you have a high resolution monitor you may see more than one slide at once. To see just one slide at a time resize your browser window so that the 'Return to Syllabus' and 'Viewing Tips' links are just visible at the bottom of the title slide.

The arrows should always appear at the top right of the browser window. If they do not, use your browser's vertical scroll bar to make a pair of arrows visible (if necessary) and click on one of the arrows to re-align the document.
